A-Team Mountain House News

Hello everyone! I am really going to try to get back into the habit of writing every week. we have had a good week. aaron came home tuesday and we are enjoying the chocolate covered macadamia nuts and locals (just to be clear, he didn’t acutally bring back any hawaiians. locals are a brand of slippers.) that he brought home. ammon, who is usually a daddy’s boy, wouldn’t look at aaron or go to him until wednesday morning. i guess he was punishing him for having been gone. all is forgiven now and he is now a daddy’s boy again.

jared has started practicing pitching. the league he is in starts with kids pitching next week. our neighbor is the president of the little league in mtn house and he came out the other day and taught jared some of the basics to pitching. jared loved it and caught on pretty well. i was practicing with him again yesterday and he threw on pitch straight and hard enough that i actually have a bruise on my hand. he can’t wait to show his coaches what he has learned.

Saturday the yw in the ward had a car wash to earn money for girls camp. i was pleasantly surprised the support the ward showed our girls. we had quite a few clean cars at church today. aaron and jared had the opportunity to go with the missionaries to a new investigators appt on friday. aaron came home saying they are very nice and have a daughter the same age as taryn. we are going to have them over to our house on friday for dinner and the next discussion. it is neat to be involved in this process. it is something new for our family and i am hoping it will only be the first of many times we will be able to have investigators in our home with the missionaries.

i was informed by taryn this week that aunt cory is a “player” mom. when i asked her what that meant she said that aunt cory always plays with her and i don’t so i need to be more like aunt cory and be a “player” mom. i will try to do better. thank you cory for setting the standard. :)

as for nohea she told us her two favorite things about sunday were the dinner we were eating, which she didn’t  like and cleaning her room, which took a really long time and wasn’t much fun. it must not have been that good of a day for her if those were her favorites. maybe today will be better.

well, i guess that is about all. that was pretty jumbled and random. sorry about that but i guess that is how our life is, jumbled and random.

we love you all!
